Eurovision in Concert 2013 - Update: Carola is Special Guest

For the fifth time in a row this great annual event is happening: EUROVISION IN CONCERT 2013 takes place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands with the participation of many Eurovision 2013 performers. The show will be hosted by Marlayne  who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 with the song "One good reason" reaching Number 8 and Linda Wagenmakers represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 with the song "No goodbyes" reaching Number 12.

 

Carola 2013

SPECIAL GUEST:

And it has been confirmed that Eurovision Song Contest Winner from 1991, and three times participant at the contest for Sweden CAROLA will be Special Guest of the event.  Carola first represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 reaching number 3 with "Främling". In 1991 she won the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden with "Captured by a love storm" and in 2006 Carola returned to the contest reaching Number 5 with "Invincible". Your chance to meet Carola at Eurovision in Concert 2013.

Tickets:
Tickets are priced at a approx EURO 30 (including booking fees) per person for the entire event. Please order and pay your ticket via the Official Website of the event,  Print it and bring it with you to the entrance on 13 April 2013.

Malmö 2013: The Euro Fan Café

Some news from Sweden's city of Malmö, Home of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 regarding a new hang-out place for the many Eurovision fans that will be hitting the city of Malmö for the Eurovision Song Contest come May. For details what is in the planning - read on.


Moriska Paviljongen will be hosting a once-in-a-lifetime Eurovision Song Contest meeting place concept: The “Euro Fan Café” in Malmö between 6 – 18 May 2013. The Euro Fan Café is presented by Moriska Paviljongen in cooperation with the City of Malmö, Sweden.

Called the “fan” café because it is totally for fans – with dancefloors 100% dedicated to Eurovision music, current and previous artists performing, giant quizzes, live talkshows, films, special appearances and even a sing-a-long Nil Points night.

“The fans are a vital and important part of the Eurovision Song Contest. I am really happy about this initiative by the city of Malmö and Moriska Paviljongen, which will be a great meeting place for the fans”, says Christer Björkman, Show Producer for Eurovision Song Contest Malmö 2013. “I sincerely hope that I will have time to meet up with the fans at the Euro Fan Café in May.”

Moriska Paviljongen's spaces include:

• A bistro and bar with a stage for performances and an affordable Scandianvian food menu (capacity: 150)
• The Mirror Room, perfect for medium-sized clubs and concerts (capacity: 400)
• The Grand Room, for larger clubs, concerts and private events (capacity: 1000)
• The Outdoor Space, great for relaxing and taking in the cool Malmö nights.

Moriska Paviljongen has been working closely with OGAE International, Melodifestivalklubben (OGAE) Sweden and prominent English-language fan website 12points.tv to build a program that both diehard fans and the curious public will find interesting.

The aim for this to be a venue created by fans and for fans, so the fans' stay in Malmö will be filled with all the special Eurovision events that you want and deserve.”

Along with live performances by Eurovision artists past and present, there will be a 100% Eurovision music playing throughout the venue for the two weeks leading up to the contest.”

Opening hours and a schedule of events will be announced in April.

Moriska Paviljongen has a reputation for hosting the best clubs, concerts and most creative people in the south of Sweden. Gianluca Bezzina won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and thus will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmoe, Sweden in May 2013.
