Tribute to Sandra Reemer (Netherlands 1972, 1976 and 1979) on Eurovision Radio International

Sandra Reemer (Netherlands 1972, 1976 and 1979) with JP (2016)
Tribute to Sandra Reemer (Netherlands 1972, 1976 and 1979):  The Eurovision Family with sadness was informed about the tragic passing away of Sandra Reemer on 06 June 2017. Sandra represented the Netherlands four times in the Eurovision Song Contest.  In 1972 with "Als het om de liefte gaat" with Andres coming fourth. Then in 1976 Sandra represented the Kingdom of the Netherlands with "The Party is over now" coming nineth and in 1979 she reached Number 12 with "Colorado" as Xandra. In 1983, Sandra Reemer was the backing vocalist when Bernadette represented the Netherlands with the song "Sing me a song" that reached Number 7 in Munich, Germany. Further she appeared many times on German TV with her singing partner Andres. Further she hosted among other TV shows also the Dutch version of Wetten Dass ! (Do you want to bet?) - Wedden, dat! and was a founder member of the Dutch Divas. Radio International's JP had the big pleasure to meet Sandra various times and also interviewed her for Eurovision Radio International and the last time we hugged goodbye was in July 2016 when she was part of the guest line up of the Eurovision Weekend Berlin organised by a branch of OGAE Germany. Who would have thought that this was going to be a "Goodbye" for ever.

Sandra will be greatly missed and due to the very sad circumstances Eurovision Radio International on 07 June 2017 devoted a big part of the show time for a Tribute to Sandra "Xandra" Reemer and some of her songs and the last interview we did with her in Berlin in 2016. The link to the show from 07 June 2017 is available here:  Radio International 07 June 2017

Sandra - Rest in Peace.

Below you can watch two interviews we did with Sandra at the OGAE Germany Convention 2013 in Munich and also the Berlin Eurovision Weekend  2016

First the Interview from 2013 in Munich:

And now the Interview from 2016 in Berlin:
