COUNTDOWN TO EUROVISION 2019 - Dare to Dream:The Team of Radio International is on location of the 64th Eurovision Song Contest which takes place on May 14, 16 for the two Semi Finals and the the Grand Final on 18 May 2019 with 41 countries competing for the trophy and the right to host Eurovision 2020. Radio International is gearing up for the biggest music event of the year and will broadcast interviews with artists and lots of music from this year's contest. In view of the contest Radio International team members have been at the various Eurovision 2019 preview events such as Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, the London Eurovision Preview Event, the Madrid PreParty and Riga's Eurovision Party 2019 to meet and interview the many artists that take part in this year's competition.
This and next week's editions of Radio International will be coming live from the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel due to that the show has a slight change in the normal format which returns again on Wed, 22 May 2019.
Interview with Lake Malawi (Czech Republic 2019): After the huge success of the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with Mikolas Josef reaching the best ever result for the Czech Republic with the song "Lie to me" the boy group Lake Malawi follows in the footsteps of Mikolas to represent the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the very radio-friendly song entitled "Friend of a Friend" in Semi Final 1 at Song 6. Radio International's JP met the young singers at the recent edition of the Madrid PreParty 2019 for an interview which you can hear on this week's edition of the show.

Interview with Hatari (Iceland 2019): Iceland is represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the group Hatari who won the National Final in Iceland with the song "Hatrið mun sigra" (Hatered will prevail) and with this will represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 13. Radio International's JP met and interviewed Hatari in the recent edition of the Eurovision PreParty in Madrid, Spain.

Darude feat Sebastian Reyman (Finland 2019): DJ Superstar from the 90s Darude teamed up with voice Sebastian Reyman for this year's entry from Finland at the Eurovsion Song Contest 2019 with the song "Look away" which will be in Semi Final 1 at Song 3. Radio International's JP and David Mann met the musicians at Eurovision in Concert 2019 in Amsterdam for an interview which you can hear in this week's edition of the show.

Interview with Eliot (Belgium 2019): Eliot is just 18 and comes from Mons in Belgium and represents his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Wake up" in Semi Final 1 at Song 10. Radio International's JP met Eliot at the Madrid PreParty 2019 in Madrid for an interview.

Interview with Victor Crone (Estonia 2019): Last week Radio International aired an interview that Salman Tanzem did at the recent edition of the London Eurovision Preview Event 2019 with Victor Crone who although is Swedish represents Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Storm" in Semi Final 1 at Song 14. Radio International's JP also had the pleasure to meet him Madrid at the PreParty 2019. Listen to this interview on the show this week.
