Not only a Happy New Year but also a Happy New Decade from The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience who continue to accompany the many Eurovision fans throughout the coming years. This week a rather Special Edition of the show serving as the Hangover Cure after the heavy partying to ring in the new year and new decade.
 

EUROBASH 2019 - A Look Back: At the beginning of October the Eurovision Club of the United Kingdom - OGAE UK held their annual convention with four performers from the Eurovision Song Contest. Esther Hart (Netherlands 2003), Justs (Latvia 2016), Michael Rice (United Kingdom 2019) and Eurovision Winner 1992 for Ireland - Linda Martin. Part of the convention was a Guest Panel hosted by Monty Moncrieff from OGAE UK who interviewed all four guests to the convention. Later on in the evening each of the Eurovision acts gave a little concert to the many attendees to the convention. Radio International recorded the panel and the concerts and is happy to share this with you on this week's special edition of the show.

Last week's edition of the show was our Radio International Christmas Card 2019 with many Eurovision Star singing a Christmas Tune plus also many Christmas greetings from the many fans of the show and Eurovision Stars.  This week on the show we keep it a relatively normal show. Interview with Ingrid Peters (Germany 1986):  At the recent edition of the Eurovision Club Germany's annual Convention 2019 among the guests were Paula Seling and Ovi (Romania 2010 and 2014), Tamara Todevska (North Macedonia 2019) Michael von der Heide (Switzerland 2010) and Ingrid Peters (Germany 1986). Ingrid Peters started her career back in 1973 with  many hits entereing the German Charts becoming one of Germany's biggest Schlager Singers. In 1986, she represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Ueber die Bruecke geh'n" (Crossing that Bridge) reaching Number 8. It was 12 years ago when EC Germany had invited Ingrid Peters initially and in 2019 the organisation decided to invite her again since the first time was a huge success. Radio International's JP, Salman and Marc had the big pleasure to meet the singer for an interview in her Dressing Room during the sound check of the event. Enjoy this interview with this charming lady.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019:  The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 was staged in the Gliwice Arena in Gliwice, Poland. 19 participating countries met on Sunday, 24 November 2019 to sing their songs and with this passing important messages to the international audience across Europe and beyond.  The 17th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was won by Poland's Viki Gabor with the song "Superhero" and with this Poland achieved that what never happened at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest before - winning twice in a row. Congratulations from the Team of Radio International. In the run up to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 Radio International devoted a big part of the weekly show to the biggest international music contest for the kids. Interview with Paula Seling and Ovi (Romania 2010 and 2014):  At the recent edition of the Eurovision Club Germany's annual Convention 2019 among the guests were Ingrid Peters (Germany 1986), Tamara Todevska (North Macedonia 2019) Michael von der Heide (Switzerland 2010) and Paula Seling and Ovi (Romania 2010 and 2014). In our Christmas edition we hope to find the time to air the interview with the duo which brought us "Playing with Fire" in 2010 reaching Number 3 in the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo and then four years on Number 11 with the song  "It's a Miracle" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen. JP from Radio International teamed up with Marc and Salman to conduct this interview which is on the show this week.

Interview with Tamara Todesvska (North Macedonia 2019):  What an amazing result for North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 when Tamara Todevska received top votes from the international jury but overall ranking at Number 7 at the end of the contest in Tel Aviv earlier on in May 2019. The song "Proud" is something Tamara can be really proud of what she did for her country.  At the beginning of November 2019 OGAE Denmark had their annual Convention and Radio International's JP had the pleasure to meet Tamara and conducted an interview which you can hear on the show this week. Tamara previously represented Macedonia when it was called FYR of Macedonia in 2008 when it was with Tamara, Vrcak and Adrian and the song "Vo ime na ljubovta" which failed to qualify the country for the Grand Final of the contest in 2008, ending up at Number 10 in Semi Final 2.

Interview with Lake Malawi (Czech Republic 2019):  Already in 2018 the Czech Republic had a great entry to the Eurovision Song Contest - Mikolas Josef who reach an amazing 6th place with the song "Lie to me". In 2019, the follow-on act from the Czech Republic was Lake Malawi. Their song "Friend of a Friend" reached Number 11 in the Grand Final of the Eurovsision Song Contest 2018, in Lisbon, Portugal). Radio International's JP had the pleasure to meet Albert from Lake Malawi at the recent edition of the OGAE Denmark event and conducted an interview which you can hear on the show this week.

"Het Grote Songfestivalfeest" = Eurovision Concert takes place in Amsterdam Sunday 15 Dec 2019 with an amazing list of former Eurovision Winners and participants. A live band will be accompanying the Eurovision singers throughout the show which will take place in the Ziggo Dome of Amsterdam. It is a co-production of Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS and PilotStudio. Further the concert will be recorded and broadcast on Dutch TV channel NPO3 on 01 January 2020 to ring in the year that the Netherlands will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019:  The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 was staged in the Gliwice Arena in Gliwice, Poland. 19 participating countries met on Sunday, 24 November 2019 to sing their songs and with this passing important messages to the international audience across Europe and beyond.  The 17th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was won by Poland's Viki Gabor with the song "Superhero" and with this Poland achieved that what never happened at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest before - winning twice in a row. Congratulations from the Team of Radio International. In the run up to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 Radio International devoted a big part of the weekly show to the biggest international music contest for the kids. Last week, David Mann and JP from Radio International were in Gliwice to bring you coverage of the event.
