Lindsay Dracass (United Kingdom 2001) - No dream impossible (Digital Release)

Lindsay Dracass was propelled into the limelight and global media attention when at the age of just 16, she was selected to represent the United Kingdom at the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest with the infectious "No Dream Impossible".

Now, after years of waiting and fan campaigns, "No Dream Impossible" will finally be released across the digital download and streaming platforms worldwide on Monday 13th April 2020!

Hailing from Sheffield (South Yorkshire, UK), Lindsay began her professional singing career aged just 13 when she was discovered by Alan Wood. Juggling her school work and a singing career proved to be a smart move as she battled with tough competition through the BBC ‘A Song For Europe’ to be selected as the UK entry. She then went on to be one of the youngest ever performers to represent her country in front of millions of people around the world.

"No Dream Impossible" was well-received on the night of the contest in Copenhagen, Denmark and she was placed 15th overall – the single later smashed into the UK official top 40 providing a young Lindsay with her first hit.

After her Eurovision success and with a hit single under her belt, Lindsay joined up with musical legend Paul Carrack to add her vocal harmonies to his sound and toured as a backing vocalist across Europe and beyond, supporting huge bands including The Eagles.

Following these amazing experiences which helped build her experience as a world-class musician, Lindsay took some time out of the public eye to start a family of her own and to plan the next stage of her career.

In late 2017, Lindsay returned to our TV screens as part of ‘the hundred’ on the BBC prime time show ‘All Together Now’ for two series, where Lindsay joined the judging panel alongside the likes of Spice Girl Geri Horner (aka Ginger Spice) and even performed a section of the title song I’ve Got The Music In Me.

Lindsay then went on to release a stunning single in November 2018 – the beautiful ballad Not Mine, which graced the UK iTunes soul chart top ten – swiftly followed by Waiting For You - an album of original material, powerhouse vocals and captivating melodies.

The digital release of No Dream Impossible celebrates Lindsay’s return to the Eurovision circuit where she has performed at events across Europe including Eurostarz, Manchester Eurovision Party, Europride and J'aime La Vlie - with more to follow!

RELEASE DETAILS
"No Dream Impossible" will be released across the digital download and streaming platforms (iTunes, Spotify, Amazon etc.) on Monday 13th April 2020 and includes the original radio edit, the WIP radio edit and an orchestral version – all of which appeared on the original release in 2001.

Digital Release (13th April 2020):

1. No Dream Impossible (Radio Edit)
2. No Dream Impossible (WIP Wip’d Dream Radio Edit)
3. No Dream Impossible (Orchestral Version)

The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience created two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 65 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans, to take you through the long Corona Crisis period of time.

This week Matthias Breitinger from Berlin will be joining JP via SKYPE to chat about and play Ten Highlights from the the German National Final to the Eurovision Song Contest

Then lots of new song releases have reached Radio International over the past weeks which will also be aired during the show as much as time permits.

Further there is plenty of room for music requests from the Eurovision Fan community and chats with the fans on air.

Also fans can actively take part in the show to join JP and his team in the studio via a SKYPE phone call live on air to talk about their thoughts and request their favourite song which does not need to be a Eurovision song.

The next show will take place on Saturday, 11 April 2020 live via Run FM in the United Kingdom but available also via the Radio International Facebook Group "Eurovision Radio International" where you can find the chatroom.
