Melodifestivalen 2020 - Semi Final 2 (Gothenburg, Sweden) - Interviews with the contestants:
Melodifestivalen is the selection process in Sweden for the Eurovision Song Contest where Sweden's entry is selected. The second semifinal took place on Saturday 08 February 2020 in Gothenburg in the legendary Scandinavium Arena, where the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 took place with the Bobbysocks from Norway winning for Norway with "Let it swing".
In this second Semi Final Melodifestivalen 2020 seven artists competed to advance in to the Grand Final (and Second Chance round) of Melodifestivalen 2020 to be held in Stockholm's Friends Arena on 07 March 2020. Eurovision Radio International was in Gothenburg to conduct interviews with the artists new and returning. Anna Bergendahl ("Kingdom Come") and Dotter ("Bulletproof") advanced to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2020, whereas DJ Mendez feat Alvaro ("Vamos Amigos") and Paul Rey ("Talking in my sleep") have secured a place in the Second Chance Round of Sweden's biggest music competition. Could Anna Bergendahl win Melodifestivalen again like she did in 2010 and represent Sweden once more? Radio International's Eric has been out and outbout at the Lithuanian National Final conducing Interviews with the host Ieva Zasimauskaite who in 2018 represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "When we're old" coming 11th. Ieva was host of the National Final in Lithuania on 15 Feb 2020.
Further Eric chatted with the Winners and with this with the Lithuania's Musical Ambassadors The Roop who will be representing Lithuania in May 2020 with the song "On Fire". He also chatted with the 7th placed entry in Lithuania's National Final: KaYra who came 7th with the song "Aligator". An last bit not least also on the show will be an interview Eric conducted with Latvia's Hopefull for Eurovision 2020: Samanta Tina and the song "Still Breathing". All of this on Radio International this week - can we squeeze is att in JP asks - Yes we can!!!!

Tribute to Peal Carr: Earlier on this week it was announced that Pearl Carr has passed away at the age of 98. Pearl Carr together with Teddy Johnson represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 1959 with the song "Sing little Birdie" reach a remarkable Number 2. Radio International's David Mann has been going down Memory Lane and reflects of Pearl's career in this week's Tribute on the show.
