COUNTDOWN TO EUROVISION 2019 - Dare to Dream:The Team of Radio International is on location of the 64th Eurovision Song Contest which takes place on May 14, 16 for the two Semi Finals and the the Grand Final on 18 May 2019 with 41 countries competing for the trophy and the right to host Eurovision 2020. Radio International is gearing up for the biggest music event of the year and will broadcast interviews with artists and lots of music from this year's contest. In view of the contest Radio International team members have been at the various Eurovision 2019 preview events such as Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, the London Eurovision Preview Event, the Madrid PreParty and Riga's Eurovision Party 2019 to meet and interview the many artists that take part in this year's competition.
This week's Specials: As well as last week this week's edition of Radio International will be coming live from the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel due to that the show has a slight change in the normal format which returns again on Wed, 22 May 2019.This week meet more of the EUROSTARS this week focusing on the artists performing in Semi Final 2. Plus the result is out and it is known which ten songs have advanced into the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 joining the Big 5 and host Israel. Radio International reveals in the show the clips of the ten countries gone through.

Interview with Jonida Maliqi (Albania 2019): At the recent Eurovision PreParty in Madrid, Spain, Radio International's JP had the pleasure to meet and interview Albania's representative to the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 - Jonida Maliqi who performs the song "Ktheju tokës" in Semi Final 2 at Song 14. Interview with PAENDA (Austria 2019): Following in the footsteps of Cesar Sampson from last year's Eurovision Song Contest where Austria ranked 3rd place with the song "Nobody but you" - is PAENDA who performs the song "Limits" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Semi Final 2 at Song 9. Radio International's David Mann met and interviewed PAENDA in the recent edition of the Eurovision PreParty in London, United Kingdom.

Interview with Roko (Croatia 2019): Croatia with be represented by Roko at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "The Dream" which will be performed in Semi Final 2 at Song 10. Interview with Leonora (Denmark 2019): In 2018 it was the vikings from Rasmussen representing Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest and this year in 2019 Denmark's Musical Ambassador is charming Leonora who will be performing the song "Love is forever" in Semi Final 2 at Song 11. Radio International met the singer shortly after her victory in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019 when she came to Stockholm, Sweden for a fan event. Interview with Jurij Veklenko (Lithuania 2019): It is not the first time that Jurij Veklenko takes part in the Eurovision Song Contest. In fact, he has been the backing vocalist for Andrius Pojavis on the song "Something" back in 2013 representing Lithuania as well he was the backing vocalist with Lithuania's 2015 Eurovision entry by Monika Linkyte and Vaidas Baumila called "This Time". This year Jurij is the lead artists on the song "Run with the Lions" representing Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Semi Final 2 at Song 12. Jurij was also invited to the Eurovision PreParty 2019 in Madrid where JP met the singer and used the chance of an intervew which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio International.

Interview with Carousel (Latvia 2019): Also Riga in Latvia was the scene for a Eurovision PreParty in 2019 including their own entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 - Carousel, a four piece band who will be performing "That Night" in Semi Final 2 at Song 5. Radio International's JP met the group after the concert for an interview you can hear on the show this week.
