Melodifestivalen 2026 Grand Final Allstarz


Melodfestivalen 2026 - We have a Winner:  The Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2026 took place on Saturday 07 Mar 2026 in the Strawberry (Friends) Arena in Solna near Stockholm. Radio International was on location and conducted interviews with the participating acts. Congratulations to Felicia 
 
for winning Melodifestivalen 2026 out of 3888 entered songs into the competiton with the song "My System". With this Felicia will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Semi Final 1 in the First Half.



Melodifestivalen 2026 - The results


On the show this week Radio International will broadcast interview clips with all the 12 Grand Finalist Felicia, Greczula, Medina, Smash Into Pieces, Brandsta City Släckers, Cimberly, A*Teens, Little Al Fadji, Meira Omar, Sanna Nielsen, Robin Bengtsson and Saga Ludvigsson.





The Eurovision Spotlight - The Eurovision National Final Season:  The New Eurovision Year 2026 has started and with that also the National Final Season for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is in full swing with countries selecting their entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. JJ won Eurovision 2025 and with that Austria will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in the Wiener Stadthalle on 12 and 14 May 2026 for the two Semi Finals and the Grand Finale to take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026. Until the end of March 2026 the National Final Season for Eurovision 2026 is on and Radio International's team members will be highlighting the best picks of the national finals. Eurovision Lordship Marcus Keppel-Palmer continues the series with taking a look at National Finals of the last seven days.


Eurovision News, New Song Releases, Birthday File, Coverspot, Eurovision Calendar: Also JP will be joined by David Mann for the Eurovision Birthday File and Eurovision Coverspot.  Javier stands in for Nick and will be presenting the Eurovision News courtesy of escXtra.com. Melodfestivalen 2026:  In view of the upcoming Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2026 in the Strawberry Arena in Solna near Stockholm, Radio International this week will be introducing all the songs in the running order in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2026 on 07 Mar 2026. For that JP will be joined by Robert Wahlström from Sweden.

Melodifestivalen 2026 - Heat 4 Allstarz

Congratulations to Smash Into Pieces and Cimberly winning the Heat 4 of Melodifestivalen 2026 out of the Malmö Arena on Saturday, 22 Feb 2026. Smash Into Pieces were the first winning act being announced after the first voting round. They will be competing in the Grand Final with the song "Hallow". Cimberly and her song "Eternity" won the second round of voting and also has won and secured herself a place in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 20026 in the Strawberry Arena of Stockholm, Solna. The favourite to also win the Heat was Meira Omar with the song "Dooset Daram" came third and is with that in the Final Kval round of the competition and has a chance to advance into the Grand Final after Heat 5. JP has been in Malmö and conducted interviews with all participating acts of which you will hear some this week and some next week on Radio International. This week listen to longer interviews with the winners of Heat 4, Smash into Pieces, Cimberly and  also Erika Jonsson who unfortunately did not advance.

Erika Jonsson at Melodifestivalen 2026 "Från landet"

Interview with Erika Jonsson:  A debutant at Melodifestivalen 2026 was Erika Jonsson and her Country Band participating in Heat 4 of Melodifestivalen 2026 with the song in Swedish Country entitled "Från landet" which unfortunately only ended up at third in the second voting round. Radio International's JP and Tanja from ESC Panelen met Erika Jonsson for an indepth interview before the Heat 4 competiton. Eurovision Song Contest - Das Deutsche Finale 2026:  Germany will be selecting their entry to the  Eurovision Song Contest 2006 on Saturday, 28 Feb 2026 in Berlin with nine acts competing for the right to represent Germany in Vienna on 16 May 2026. Eurovision Host 2025 Hazel Brugger and Germany's regular National Final Host Barbara Schoeneberger will be presenting the acts from a studio in Berlin with a live audience. Radio International has reached out to some of the acts for an interview and the team is happy to welcome to the show Laura Nahr on the show this week who will compete in the German National Final with the song "Wonderland". Then, joining the Radio International Interview Team on the show this week is Myle who competes with the song "A OK". And also on tghe show live will be wavvyboi who competes with the song "Black Glitter".
