Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYRO Macedonia, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Poland, Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands and Ukraine.

The Delegations and many International Media are in Valletta, Malta to enjoy the biggest annual European music event for children. From the official welcoming ceremony onwards, everyone is focussed on not only delivering a good individual performance, but also to promoting the values in this year’s Junior Eurovision logo #Embrace.

When they aren’t busy rehearsing, the youngsters have had the opportunity to discover some of the sites and get to know some of the people from historic Malta.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 took place in Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta, Malta on  Sunday, 20 November 2016, 1600 hours CET where young artists from 17 countries took part. Withdrawing from last year's contest are Montenegro, San Marino and Slovenia and we welcome back Cyprus, Israel and Poland.
So the 17 countries are:  Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYRO Macedonia, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Poland, Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands and Ukraine.

Many of the previous performers of the Junior Eurovision are returning to shoe their support to the contest and the young singers as well as promoting their new material. So it is also for Vincenzo Cantiello who won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 for Italy in the Malta with the song "Tu primo grande amore". He has his latest album on release called "Never too much" as well from that the new single entitled "Summer Thrill".

Valerie Vella has been working with the Junior Eurovision for quite a number of years and has also hosted the national final of Malta to the Eurovision Song Contest. Also Ben Camille has hosting experience as he has hosted the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2016 but also is a TV personality in Malta.

Radio International - The ultimate Eurovision Experience is this week coming live from Malta - the Home of the the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The Team of Radio International would like to invite you to this week's very special edition of the show with music, interviews, fun and lots of Junior Eurovision Song Contest songs. Join in this Wednesday 16 November 2016 from 8-11pmCET for the show.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016: This week is a rather special edition of Radio International as members of the Team are in Malta - the Home of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The 14th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be staged in Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) on  20 November 2016. Like in 2015 also this year 17 countries have confirmed participation in the music competition for children. Three countries withdrew who took part in 2015 namely: Montenegro, San Marino and Slovenia while we welcome back Cyprus, Israel and Poland.  The complete list of the 17 countries are: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYRO Macedonia, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Poland, Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands and Ukraine.

This year's theme song of the event is "#Embrace" sung by last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest Winner for Malta - Destiny. Consult the official event's website Junior Eurovision Song Contest for all the latest news concerning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and also you will also find all detailed information about the young artists. JP and David of Radio International will be present at the event and conduct interviews with the young artists which you can see as video interviews which will be made available as soon as ready on this accompanying Eurovision Blog.
