Interview with Ira Losco (Malta 2002 and 2016): In the summer series of live interviews Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is reaching out to a number of artists from the world of the Eurovision Song Contest but also from the national finals. This week Radio International's JP and John Dawton are being joined via SKYPE by one of Malta's finest and most successful singers - Ira Losco. Malta only reached the Eurovision Runners Up position of Number 2 twice with Chiara in 2005 and the song "Angel" and in 2002 with Ira Losco and the song "7th Wonder". In 2016 Ira returned to the Eurovision Song Contest from Stockholm's legendary Globen Arena where she performed the song "Walk on Water" which came 12th. In the meantime Ira fronted the Maltese X-Factor Jury twice and selected Destiny to represent Malta at the 2020 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest which unfortunately was cancelled due to the Corona Pandemic. However, Destiny will represent Malta in 2021. Let's get an update from Ira Losco on the show this week. We are very much looking forward to having Ira Losco on the show for a chat and listeners are encouraged to actively take part during the show to submit their questions via our Facebook Chatroom during the live broadcast on Wednesday evening from 1900 - 2300 hours CET or via our website's email address - click here.
