Melodifestivalen 2020 - Semi Final 4 (Malmoe, Sweden) - Interviews with the contestants:
Melodifestivalen is the selection process in Sweden for the Eurovision Song Contest where Sweden's entry is selected. The fourth semifinal took place on Saturday 22 February 2020 in Malmoe's Arena where the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 took place and Emmelie de Forest won for Denmark with the song "Only Teardrops".
In this fourth and last Semi Final Melodifestivalen 2020 seven artists competed to advance in to the Grand Final (and Second Chance round) of Melodifestivalen 2020 to be held in Stockholm's Friends Arena on 07 March 2020. Eurovision Radio International was in Malmoe to conduct interviews with the artists new and returning. Hanna Ferm ("Brave") and Victor Crone ("Troubled Waters") advanced to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2020, whereas Frida Öhrn ("We are one") and Ellen Bedediktson and Simon Peyron ("Surface") have secured a place in the Second Chance Round of Sweden's biggest music competition. On the show this week listen to some of the interviews done in Malmoe before and after the competition and of course the music from the Melodifestivalen 2020 Semi Final 4 from the Malmoe Arena. Ukraine 2020: In the Meantime while Melodfestivalen 2020 - Semi Final 4 took place in Malmoe's Arena the National Final in the Ukraine happened with Go_A having been selected to be the representatives of the Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam come May. Radio International's Eric was out and about in Kiyv and was at the national final in the Ukraine. He conducted a couple of interviews: with Go_A who will be representing the Ukraine with the song "Solovey" starting in Semi Final 1 Second Half.
Eric also had the chance to meet and conduct a quick interview with Tina Karol who was a member of the jury in the Ukrainian National Final. We do remember Tina Karol from the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 representing Ukraine with the song "Show me your love" coming 7th.
