Melodifestivalen 2020 - Hall of Fame: Interview with Lill Lindfors (Sweden 1966, Host Eurovision 1985)


Melodifestivalen is Sweden's national televised music competition to find the best new song of the year. The winner of the competition then goes on to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Twenty-eight acts go through four Semi Finals and a Second Chance round before the top twelve go into the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2020, held once again at the Friends Arena in Solna (near Stockholm) in front of a live audience of almost 30000 spectators, plus millions of TV viewers both in Sweden and abroad.

Since 2009, Radio International has been present each year at the Melodifestivalen Grand Final rehearsals and interviews the artists, the producer and the hosts. Now at the Second Chance Round in Eskilstuna where 4 more songs will advance into the Grand Final to Stockholm.


2020 marks the 60th Anniversary of Melodifestivalen and was celebrated by a special Interval Act during the Second Chance round with honouring the many previous Melodifestivalen singers, hosts, songwriters, comedians and what's not. :) in the Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame.

In this clip, watch an interview with Lill Lindfors who was also inducted into the Hall of Fame of Melodifestivalen. JP chatted with the singers and show host before the show on her participation in the 1966 Eurovision Song Contest and the hosting the the Eurovision Song Contest 1985.
