Through the Summer 2023 with Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience:  The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 was staged in Liverpool last May with Sweden's Loreen winning the contest for a second time after her victory in 2012 with the song "Euphoria". Her winning song for 2023 is "Tattoo". Radio International has still a number of interviews from the contest and the pre-events which will be shared during the next few summer weeks of 2023.

This week we have interviews Miki Nunez who represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "La Venda" which came 22nd. Miki was the host of the 2023 edition of the Benidorm Festival which selected the entry for Spain to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Radio International's Salman was on location in Benidorm and met up with Miki for an interview which is on the show this week.

Also Salman chatted with Ronella who represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Sekret". Ronella was invited as special guest at the Benidorm Festival 2023.


Swedish Singer / Songwriter Anderz Wrethov

Interview with Anderz Wrethov: Our third Interview is with Anderz Wrethov who is a songwriter from Sweden responsible for many Eurovision entries such as "Always" (Azerbaijan 2009), "Fuego" (Cyprus 2018), "Too late for love" (Sweden 2019) and "Voices" (Sweden 2021) just to mention a few. He also wrote many Meldofestivalen entries such as "Kizunguzungu", "Guld och gröna skogar", "In i dimman", "My Way " and "Vem e som oss" among others. Radio International's JP had the pleasure to meet Anderz at Melodifestivalen 2023 and conducted an interview which you can hear on the show this week.

The Eurovision Spotlight is presented by Dermot Manning as a new series starts this week "The History of Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest".
