Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023:
The 21st edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to
take place come Sunday on 26 November 2023 following the victory of France in the
2022 edition with Lissandro and the song "Oh Maman".
The
Junior
Eurovision Song Contest 2023 takes place on 26 Nov 2023 from the Palais
Nikaïa in Nice, France hosted by Olivier Minne and Laury Thilleman.
Sixteen countries will participate in the
contest with Estonia debuting, Germany returning and taking a break are Serbia and Kazakhstan.
Participating countries are: Albania,
Armenia, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta,
Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine and
United Kingdom.
All countries have selected their entry to the Junior
Eurovision Song Contest 2023, Radio International will get the fans in
the mood introducing the songs to the audience but also playing some of
the highlights of the previous editions of the contest.

Radio International starts broadcasting the interviews as from this week on the show with Gjon's Tears who was selected to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 which as we know was cancelled due to the Corona pandemic. "Repondez moi" was the song he was scheduled to perform. Gjon's Tears remained as selected artists to represent Switzerland in the following year's contest in 2021 from the Ahoy in Rotterdam coming third with the song "Tout l'Univers" which he performed in Amsterdam together with a surprise cover of a Eurovision winning song. The Home Composed Song Contest 2023 - The Result:
The annual music competition for non-professional musicians for 2023
has decided on a winner through public vote and jury vote. Visit the

The Home Composed Song Contest is in its
32nd year, this is a competition for Eurovision fans who write, perform
and produce their own music, who enter their own original song
composition (audio only) and then also take part as a jury, to help
choose the winning song. This year there are 27 songs from 13 different
European countries.
The Grand Final Results Show of the Home Composed Song Contest 2023 was presented LIVE on this YouTube Channel on Saturday 18 November 2023 at 2100 hours CET with Special Guests from the World of the Eurovision Song Contest being part of the show. In case you missed the show - you can watch it now.

| Sara Tavares (Portugal 1994) passed away |
Tribute to Sara Tavares (Portugal 1994): Sad news once again hit the Eurovision Community last Sunday, 19 December 2023. After a long battle with a brain tumor for ten years Sara Tavares lost the fight and passed away at a very young age of just 45. Sara represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 with the beautiful entry entitled "Charma a Musica" which came 8th in the Grand Final. Radio International will broadcast a tribute to Sara Tavares on the show this week. Rest in Peace - Sara Tavares

Eurovision Spotlight - Sweden's History at the Eurovision Song Contest: Sweden
will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 which will be the 68th
contest in its history coming once again from the Malmoe Arena, Malmoe,
Sweden on 07 & 09 May 2024 for the two Semi Finals and the Grand
Final scheduled for Saturday 11 May 2024. In view of Sweden once again
being the host of Eurovision after 2016 the Team of Radio International
will look at the history of Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest that
over the years really added amazing songs to the fans' music
collections.
