Melodifestivalen
is Sweden's selection process to find that song that will represent
Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Out of 3888 submitted songs
30 entries are being distributed into 5 heats out of which two songs
advance to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2026 in the Strawberry
(Friends) Arena on 07 Mar 2026 and out of each heat one song is selected
to Final Qualification or second chance round. From that two songs join
the ten winners from the heats to have a Grand Final of 12 songs the
winner of which will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest
2026 in Vienna, Austria.
Radio International was on location in Gothenburg, Sweden and conducted interviews with the participating artists in Heat 2 of Melodifestivalen. Find them all below and enjoy the season of Melodifestivalen 2026.
The Heats are scheduled as follows:
Heat 1: 31 Jan 2026 - Linköping - Saab Arena
Heat 2: 07 Feb 2026 - Gothenburg - Skandinavium
Heat 3: 14 Feb 2026 - Kristianstad - Kristianstad Arena
Heat 4: 21 Feb 2026 - Malmö - Malmö Arena
Heat 5: 28 Feb 2026 - Sundsvall - Gärdehov
Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2026: 07 Mar 2026 - Stockholm - Strawberry Arena in Solna
