The Home Composed Song Contest 2025: The annual music competition for non-professional musicians takes place again and is already in full swing. The public and jury have the opportunity to cast their votes as well. Visit the website of the Home Composed Song Contest 2025 - click here

The Home Composed Song Contest is in its 34th year, this is a competition for Eurovision fans who write, perform and produce their own music, who enter their own original song composition (audio only) and then also take part as a jury, to help choose the winning song. This year there are 24 songs from 12 different countries, and you can listen to the songs, and read the lyrics and bios on the official website - click here

The Radio International Team once again forms one Jury and you will be able to hear the songs also on thre next three edition sof Radio International. Well done to all participants and may the best entry win.

Starting this week Radio International will introduce the songs of the Home Composed Song Contest 2025 during three shows.

The results will be published on 29 Nov 2025 during the Grand Final Show on the contests YouTube Channel.. Details where and when will be published here. 

 

 

 

 

The Eurovision Vault: Our American DJ colleague from Tuscon, Arizona returns to present to you the Eurovision Vault. Four songs are in the segment for you to guess which year Michael features on this week's Eurovision Vault. Scratch your heads and bite your nails while trying to remember which year it is.

The Eurovision Spotlight - The history of Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest:  It is Autumn 2025 it also time for the traditional look at the next host country's Eurovision Song Contest entries. JJ won Eurovision 2025 and with that Austria will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in the Wiener Stadthalle on 12 and 14 May 2026 for the two Semi Finals and the Grand Finale to take place on Saturday, 16 May 2026. Over the next weeks and before the National Final Season for 2026, Radio International's team members will be reviewing all the Eurovision entries from Austria. Eurovision Lord Marcus Keppel-Palmer will be continuing series of the Eurovision Spotlight looking at the history of Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Interview with Kantera and Krista Sujak (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025): On Sat. 08 Feb 2025 Miriana Conte and her song "Kant" (now "Serving") was selected by the jury and Maltese public to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contetest 2025 in Basel in May. Miriana successfully placed Malta in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest ranking 17th at the end of the voting sequence.

Earlier on in February 2025, Radio International conducted interviews with all the contestants at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and more.

Kantera (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025)

This week, Radio International will broadcast an interview with Kantera who took part in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Kantera are a very successful Maltese Band with great results in the Muzika Muzika competition which celebrates the Maltese Song. The song Kantera competed with in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is called "Lalaratatakeke lalaratakabum " and succsessfully qualified from Semi Final 2 to the Grand Final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 where at the end of the Voting Sequence ended up at Number 3.   

Krista Sujak (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025) with JP

The second artist from the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 we feature on Radio International this week is Krista Sujak who is also a newcomer to the contest. Krista competed with the song entitled "Unheard" and qualified from Semi Final 2 to the Grand Final.  At the end of the Voting Sequence Krista's entry ranked at Number 7  in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Home Composed Song Contest 2024 - The Results:  The annual music competition for non-professional musicians took place late 2024 with the public and jury casting their votes.

The Home Composed Song Contest celebrated 33 years in 2024 and is a competition for Eurovision fans who write, perform and produce their own music, who enter their own original song composition (audio only) and then also take part as a jury, to help choose the winning song. In 2024 there were 28 songs from 13 different countries. The Radio International Team once again formed a Jury.

The Winning Song of the Home Composed Song Contest 2024 received 151 points from the public and the international juries.

The Eurovision Spotlight - The National Final Season: With the beginning of a New Year is also the start of the National Final Season for the Eurovision Song Contest. Montenegro returns to the contest in 2025 and had already selected their entry in November 2024. 36 countries are taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 which will be taking place on 13 and 15 May 2024 for the two Semi Finals and the Grand Final on 17 May 2025. Radio International will be taking a look at the national finals and showcase the highlights every week in the Eurovision Spotlight and Chris Poppe continues the new series.

The Luxembourg Song Contest 2025: The Luxembourg Song Contest is the National Final to select that song that will be representing the country at the Eurovision Song Contetest 2025 in Basel in May. The show will be hosted by RTL and takes place on Saturday, 25 January 2025. Radio International will showcase the seven songs that are in the competition this year.

Interview with Nebulossa (Spain 2024): Spain was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 by the winners of the Benidorm Fest - Nebulossa with the song "Zorra"  which ended up at Number 22. Salman and JP were at the recent edition of the Eurovision Club Germany's annual Convention 2024 on Saturday, 23 Nov 2024 and chatted with Mery and Marc of Nebulossa about their time at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 and their career before and after Eurovision.
