Interview with Baccara (Luxembourg 1978): On the 25 January 2020 OGAE Germany held their annual club convention in Munich, Germany with the participation of Brotherhood of Man (Winners 1976, United Kingdom), Baccara (Luxembourg 1978), SuRie (United Kingdom 2018) and Rasmussen (Denmark 2018). Radio International's JP had the chance to interview all of the invited Eurovision Stars and you'll be able to hear these interviews on the show over the next weeks. This week listen to the interview with the Millionsellers of the late 70s - Baccara who although being Spanish represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 and won with "Parlez-Vous Francais". Further to their Eurovision entry Baccara also had more huge hits around the world such as "Sorry I'm a lady"(1978), "Yes Sir, I can Boogie" (1977)  Enjoy this interview with Baccara

The Team of Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience created two additional Eurovision radio shows on Saturdays and Sundays. The idea is to entertain the listeners and fans with lots of Eurovision music of the 65 year history of the Eurovision Song Contest plus new music the Eurovision artists have released after their performance in the contest and most of all also the music requests of the listeners and fans, to take you through the long Corona Crisis period of time.

On Sunday, making a comeback to the airwaves of Radio International and the Eurovision Lockdown is DJ David Webster from homebase of the Radio International - Eurovision  Lockdown who will be joining JP via SKYPE for a chat and co-presents a selection of Eurovision entries that are connected to the Weather.  

Then the Radio International's Dermot Manning joins JP on the show this week via SKYPE to present the first in series of 3 of the Winners of the Eurovision Network Convention Contest. Find out what this is all about. But fear not - many great Eurovision or national final songs in this. 

Also lots of new releases of Eurovision performers have reached Radio International and we will playing many of those during the show this weekend.

There is plenty of room for music requests from the Eurovision Fan community and chats with the fans on air. Fans can actively take part in the show to join JP and his team in the studio via a SKYPE phone call live on air to talk about their thoughts and request their favourite song which does not need to be a Eurovision song.

This week a new voice on the show is The Hogg alias John Dawton from the United Kingdom will be joining JP via SKYPE to chat about and play Ten Eurovision songs from the Ex Yugoslav Countries. We are in for some great Balkan entries to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Also a new voice joins JP for the third hour via SKYPE. It is Tom Carr also from the United Kingdom with a selection of The Nordic Naughties. Get ready for some great Eurovision entries from the North of Europe of the recent times. 

Further there is plenty of room for music requests from the Eurovision Fan community and chats with the fans on air. Then lots of new song releases have reached Radio International over the past weeks which will also be aired during the show as much as time permits.

Interview with Brotherhood of Man (United Kingdom 1976, Winners): On the 25 January 2020 OGAE Germany held their annual club convention in Munich, Germany with the participation of Brotherhood of Man (Winners 1976, United Kingdom), Baccara (Luxembourg 1978), SuRie (United Kingdom 2018) and Rasmussen (Denmark 2018). Radio International's JP had the chance to interview all of the invited Eurovision Stars and you'll be able to hear these interviews on the show over the next weeks. This week listen to the interview with the Brotherhood of Man who represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 1976 and won with the evergreen and well-known song "Save your kisses for me". A string of hits followed their Eurovision Victory such as "Figaro" (1978) and "Angelo" (1977) just to mention a couple of their Number Ones. Their career started in the late 1960s and has continued to date as the four members of the group (Martin Lee, Nicky Stevens, Lee Sheriden and Sandra Stevens) still perform at various events around Europe.  Enjoy this interview with the Eurovision Winners 1976.

The Unofficial Eurovision Song Contest 2020 - We need your Votes


YOUR VOTES NEEDED!

Radio International in collaboration with ESC Panelen from Sweden is organising a voting on the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 songs since unfortunately due to the Corona Crisis the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 has been cancelled. We still feel to have the annual thrill in voting and selecting the Top Ten songs of the two Semi Finals and then also vote in Eurovision style 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and one point for the songs that then make it into the Grand Final in our edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.

The Voting Platform is run and organised by our collagues of ESC Panelen and Radio International had the first of two radio shows devoted to the Semi Final 1 and 2 results and on the 16 May 2020 the Top 26 of the Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed on Radio International in a thrilling show.

On Saturday, 02 May 2020 during the Radio International - Eurovision Lockdown show JP was joined by ES Panelen's Editor in Chief Robert Wahlstroem who co hosted and revealed the ten qualifiers per Semi Final. You can hear the show by clicking here. This is the result:

Semi Final 1 Qualifiers (in random order):
Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Russia, Romania, Norway, Lithuania, Sweden, Australia, Israel and Ireland

Semi Final 2 Qualifiers (in random order):
Moldova, Finland, Bulgaria, Latvia, Denmark, Iceland, Greece, Estonia, Switzerland and Albania


The Unofficial Eurovision Song Contest 2020 Grand Final Voting:

The Grand Final list then consists of the 20 semi-final qualifiers which will add the Final line-up with the six pre qualified countries France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom, as well as the Host Country The Netherlands. This means that there will have a total of 26 finalists. The Grand Final Running Order of the Unoffical Eurovision Song Contest 2020 is below:

Please Note:  If the poll indicates the colour red after you have pressed the Finish button - there's nothing to worry about. The reason why this is is because you then have not selected all 26 countries which, however, is not necessary.  Please choose only your 10 favourite countries and drag them into the right order.

On the Grand Final Voting Platform of ESC Panelen you can start voting for your ten favourite songs in true Eurovision style: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point and you also can vote for your own country. The result of the Grand Final will be broadcast and published on Radio International together with ESC Panelen during the Eurovision Lockdown show on Saturday, 16 May 2020 - the day that the Eurovision 2020 Grand Final should have taken place at the Ahoy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

This week's Saturday edition of Radio International's Lockdown is slightly different than the other Eurovision Lockdown Shows. The first hour this week many of the fans requests will be played and  also some more new material from Eurovision artists that has hit the Radio International Headquarters over the last weeks. 

In the first hour JP starts to play your requests and new release by Eurovision artists and then Hour 2 and 3...

The Unofficial Eurovision Song Contest 2020 - The Semi Final Results:  Hour 2 and 3 of this week's show is fully devoted to the Unofficial Eurovision Song Contest 2020. This is the first part where JP will be joined via SKYPE by the collaborators from Swedish website ESC Panelen and the voting results of Semi Final 1 and Semi Final 2 of this year's Eurovision entries will be announced one by one and also played on the show one by one as they are being made public on the ESC Panelen website.
