Meet the Stars of Eurovision 2026 (Part 6):  Besides of Eurovision in Concert 2026 which took place at the AFAS Live Concert Venue in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on Sat 11 Apr 2026 there was also the LondonHagen and London Preview Event 2026 on 17 - 19 Apr 2026 where the Stars of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 performed their songs to the Eurovision fans. Members of the Radio International Team were on location and conducted interview with some of the acts. Meet the final two Stars of Eurovision 2026 this week before Semi Final 2 and the Grand Final. 

Søren Torpegaard Lund (Denmark 2026)

Interview with Søren Torpegaard Lund (Denmark 2026):  Representing Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is Søren Torpegaard Lund who performs the song "Før vi går hjem" in Semi Final 2 at starting position Number 10. Søren won this year's edition of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and with that is Denmark's Hopeful at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. He will perform on Thursday 14 May 2026 in der Wiener Stadthalle. Radio International's JP and Salman met the singer at the recent edition of LondonHagen 2026 on 17 Apr 2026 and conducted an in-depth interview with Søren which will be broadcast on Radio International this week. Also Søren's manager was with him at the event and can be heard on the interview. It is no other than the former lead singer of A Friend in London who represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany with the song "A New Tomorrow".

Leléka (Ukraine 2026)

Interview with Leléka (Ukraine 2026): The Musical Ambassador from Ukraine in 2026 is Leléka who will be presenting the Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria. Leléka will be performing on position Number 12 in the Second Semi Final with the song  "Ridnym". Radio International's JP and Salman met the young singer at LondonHagen 206 on Friday, 17 Apr 2026 for an indepth interview. Eurovision Song Contest 2026 - Semi Final 2 and the Grand Final: Last week you already heard all the songs competing in Semi Final 2 of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 and since this week's edition of Radio International will be coming to you live from Vienna, Austria - Home of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 - and in view of Semi Final 2 on Thursday and the Grand Final come Saturday, 16 May 2026, Radio International will be playing all the songs in full in the order as they will be performed during the live shows. 

Eurovision News, New Song Releases, Birthday File, Coverspot, Eurovision Calendar: Also JP will be joined by David Mann for the Eurovision Birthday File and Eurovision Coverspot.  Javier stands in for Nick and will be presenting the Eurovision News courtesy of escXtra.com. Live Interview with Tim Schou of A Friend in London (Denmark 2011): Some 11years ago Denmark was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 by the group A Friend in London who were fronted by Tim Schou who will be the live guest on Radio International's Interview Hour this week. The song "A New Tomorrow" came 5th in the Grand Final of the contest and A Friend in London continued for a few more months before they broke up and Tim continued on other musical projects. The Radio International Interview Team is looking froward to chat with Tim about his time at Eurovision but also what happened to his career after the event as well as what's in the future for him.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022:  The 20th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to take place on 11 December 2022 following the victory of Armenia in the 2021 edition with Malena and the song "Qami Qami".

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022  will be held at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. This will be the second time that Armenia hosts the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the first being in 2011 from the same venue.

Sixteen countries will participate in the contest with The United Kingdom returning after a sixteen-year absence, while Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany and Russia will not take part.

Participating countries are: Albania, Armenia, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, The Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

As most of the countries have already selected their entry to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Radio International will get the fans in the mood introducing the songs to the audience but also playing some of the highlights of the previous editions of the contest.
