It is April 2018 and all the 43 entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 have been selected with the rehearsals starting in Lisbon at the end of this month.  Europe's biggest singing competition takes place in Lisbon, Portugal May 08, 10 and 12. It has become a tradition that various countries hold their Eurovision Preview Events such as Riga, London, Amsterdam, Moscow, Tel Aviv and Madrid to mention the big ones. Upcoming this weekend is the biggest of them all EUROVISION IN CONCERT 2018 in Amsterdam (For tickets click here)  and members of Radio International will be there to chat with as many of the artists as possible to bring you their voices to your ears. Last week Radio International's David Mann has been at the London event and brought with him some interviews with Suzy (Portugal 2014), Nickie French (United Kingdom 2000) who also was the host of the event and presented her new song to the audience, and Melodifestivalen 2018 Runner Up - Felix Sandman. You will hear those interviews on the show this week.

This week Ross Bennett continues with the Eurovison Spotlight this week and takes a look at the Southern Region of Europe at Eurovision 2018. Join in this Wednesday 11 April 2018 live from 2000 - 2300 pmCET for Eurovision Radio International this week.

It is April 2018 and all the 43 entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 have been selected with the rehearsals starting in Lisbon at the end of this month.  Europe's biggest singing competition takes place in Lisbon, Portugal May 08, 10 and 12. Radio International's David Mann and JP were in Riga, Latvia on 23 March 2018 where the first Eurovision 2018 Preview event took place with the participation of Mikolas Josef (Czech Republic 2018), Laura Rizzotto (Latvia 2018), Ieva Zasimauskaite (Lithuania 2018), DoReDos with Filip Kirkorov (Moldiva 2018), Markus Riva (National Final Latvia 2018) and special guest from sunny Malta, Amber who represented her country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Warrior". David and JP interviewed all the participating artists in the Eurovision PreParty 2018 Riga. You will hear those interviews on the shows starting last week with Mikolas Josef and this week we continue with Laura Rizzotto who will represent Latvia at Eurovision 2018.
Also this week Felix Sandman from Sweden who became the runner up to Benjamin Ingrosso in Melodifestivalen will chat with JP in the third hour. A new Eurovision Sportlight series starts this week with Eurovision 2018 being splt into the four corners of the globe. All the 43 entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 have been selected. Europe's biggest singing competition takes place in Lisbon, Portugal May 08, 10 and 12. Radio International's David Mann and JP were in Riga, Latvia last weekend where the first Eurovision 2018 Preview event took place with the participation of Mikolas Josef (Czech Republic 2018), Laura Rizzotto (Latvia 2018), Ieva Zasimauskaite (Lithuania 2018), DoReDos with Filip Kirkorov (Moldiva 2018), Markus Riva (National Final Latvia 2018) and special guest from sunny Malta, Amber who represented her country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Warrior". David and JP interviewed all the participating artists in the Eurovision PreParty 2018 Riga. You will hear those interviews on the shows starting this week with Mikolas Josef.
During the event the sad news reached the many media representatives and Eurovision fans of the passing away of the first Eurovision Winner from 1956, LYS ASSIA. Radio International will broadcast a special tribute to the Grande Dame on the show this week. JP had the pleasure of meeting Lys Assia on a few occasions and in 2006 conducted an indepth interview with her you can LISTEN AGAIN here.

Two Eurovision Super Saturdays are behind us now and one more to come with Sweden and Norway (among others) are selecting this coming weekend their Eurovision entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 to take place in Lisbon, Portugal May 08, 10 and 12. This week's entire third hour is devoted to the biggest national final there is in the Eurovision selection process and that is Sweden's Melodifestivalen. JP will play all 12 competing acts out of which one will the the act representing Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. DJ Monzta has produced a special Melodifestivalen Megmix to get you into the mood for Melodifestivalen 2018. JP is in Sweden and therefore the format of the show has changed slightly. Join Radio International on Wednesday, 15 November 2017 from 2000 - 2300 hours CET via the website of RTV Katwijk, on air on FM 106.8, Digital Cable Channel 916 in parts of the Netherlands, or at the same times via TUNEIN or through the Facebook Group of Eurovision Radio International   
If you can't listen live, the show will appear in the Radio International Mixcloud Channel. With this you'll never have to miss your favourite Eurovision Radio Show.
Uploads to our Show Archive are normally made a few hours after the show is aired on the radio, and are then made available on i-tunes as well.
