Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026: The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 took place on 24 Oct 2026 from the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta' Qali, Malta, and was presented by former Junior Eurovision Winners 2013 and 2015 Gaia Cauchi and Destiny Chukunyere, and Keane Cutajar. All three hosted the Malta National Final to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 earlier on in January 2026. It is the third time Malta hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after 2014 and 2016. It was the 24th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. 18 countries are participating in the Junior Eurovision 2026: Albania, Armenia, Cyprus, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, The Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Spain and the Ukraine. JP, Johannes and Alain were in Malta and conducted interviews with many of the young artists and more which will be aired on Radio International during the coming weeks.

Interview with Eurovision Winner 2026 Dara (Bulgaria): During the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Dara performed as Interval Act. Dara won the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 for Bulgaria last May with the song "Bangaranga". Coincidentally, JP had the pleasure to briefly chat with Dara in the lobby of the delegation hotel shortly after she had arrived in Malta. Listen to this interview on the show this week.

Interview with Caleb and Naomi (Ireland 2026): The first interview in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Season that Radio International did was with the Irish representatives Caleb and Naomi who performed a rather nice pop in the Gaelic language entitled "Níos láidre". JP and Johannes chatted with the two young singers at the hotel lobby in Malta about their young career and their upcoming participation at Junior Eurovision 2026. At the end of the voting sequence Ireland ranked at Number 14 with 64 points.
The Home Composed Song Contest 2026: The annual music competition for non-professional musicians takes place again and is already in full swing. The public and jury have the opportunity to cast their votes as well. Visit the website of the Home Composed Song Contest 2026 - https://home26.org/.
The Home Composed Song Contest is in its 35th year, this is a competition for Eurovision fans who write, perform and produce their own music, who enter their own original song composition (audio only) and then also take part as a jury, to help choose the winning song. This year there are 17 songs from 10 different countries, and you can listen to the songs as well on the official website - https://home26.org/.
The Radio International Team once again forms one Jury and you will be able to hear the songs also on the next three editions of Radio International. Well done to all participants and may the best entry win.
The results will be published on 05 Dec 2026 during the Grand Final Show on the contests YouTube Channel reachable via the website https://home26.org/.

The Eurovision Spotlight - The Magic Letter Game: Also in the autumn the Radio International Summer Feature continuous for a few more editions before looking back at the Eurovision entries of Bulgaria which is the country that will host the next Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Burgas. The Magic Letter Game involving Eurovision
Songs which you will be presented by the Radio International Team of
Experts :). Ross Bennett continues the series with Letter O and will
explain the Rules of the Game.
