Peter, Sue and Marc (Switzerland 1971, 1976, 1979 and 1981)

Interview with Marc of Peter, Sue and Marc (Switzerland 1981): In January 2025, OGAE Germany had their annual conventon and one of the surprise guests was Marc Dietrich being one thrid of the Swiss group Peter, Sue and Marc who represented Switzerland four times at the Eurovision Song Contest. Their first participation was in 1971 with the song "Les illusion de nos vingt ans" placing Switzerland at Number 12. Then they returned five years later to the Eurovision Song Contest 1976 performing the song "Djambo, Djambo" bettering their results by reaching Number 4. Three years later, in 1979 they tried it again with the help Pfuri, Gorps and Kniri in "Troedler und Co" coming 10th and their final participation was in 1981 with their best results of their four participations reaching Number 4 with "Io senza te". 
Radio International's Marc and JP had the pleasure of an interview with Marc Dietrich about their particpations in Eurovision and their career. This interview will be broadcast on the show this week. You will certainly enjoy it. 

KEiiNO (Norway 2019) at MancHagen 2025

Interview with KEiiNO (Norway 2019):  Our final interview Radio International has left to broadcast from the recent edition of MancHagen Eurovision 2025 PreParty is an interview that Radio International's  Salman did with KEiiNO to catch up with the sympathetic group from Norway that became the fans' favourite in 2019 when they reached 6th place with "Spirit in the sky" in Tel Aviv, Israel. Since then, KEiiNO have gone from strength to strength and toured the Eurovision World extensively as well as releasing new material and also competing again in the Norsk Meldodi Grand Prix which is Norway's national final to the Eurovision Song Contest. Salman caught up with the trio and sent in an interview which Radio International is sharing with the fans this week. 

Dario Bezzina feat Zeppi l-Muni (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025)

Interview with Dario Bezzina feat Zeppi l-Muni (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025): On Sat. 08 Feb 2025 Miriana Conte and her song "Kant" (now "Serving") was selected by the jury and Maltese public to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contetest 2025 in Basel in May. Miriana successfully placed Malta in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest ranking 17th at the end of the voting sequence.
Earlier on in February 2025, Radio International conducted interviews with all the contestants at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and more.
This week, Radio International will broadcast an interview with Dario Bezzina feat Zeppi l-Muni who successfully qualified for the Grand Final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 out of Semi Final 2 and then placed 9th with the song "Għażliet"

The Eurovision Spotlight: The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 - Eurovision's Magic Numbers:   With the summer solstice marking the start of the Summer 2025 the Eurovision Spotlight Team Members decided to continue where we left off last year at the end of summer with Eurovision's Magic Numbers. Enjoy this unique way of featuring the songs of the Eurovision Song Contest on the show. Chris Poppe will be continuing the series this week.

ADONXS (Czechia 2025)

Interview with ADONXS (Czechia 2025): Czechia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 by ADONXS alias Adam with the song "Kiss Kiss Goodbye" which came 12th in Semi Final 2, unfortunately, not qualifying Czechia to the Grand Final this year. The Radio International Rowing Reporter Alain Forrotti had the pleasure to meet and interview ADONXS in Basel during the rehearsal week at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

Red Sebastian (Belgium 2025)

Interview with Red Sebastian (Belgium 2025): At the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Belgium was  represented by Red Sebastian who won the National Final in his home country and with that he represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Strobe Lights" coming 14th in Semi Final 1. Radio International's Alain Forrotti met the Red Sebastian in Basel during the rehearsals and had the chance to conduct an indepth interview with the singer. KEiiNO (Norway 2019) 

Interview with KEiiNO (Norway 2019): During the Eurovision 2025 PreParty Season  KEiiNO were appearing at the Madrid PreParty where JP, Marc and Alexander had the pleasure to chat with the group during the Turquoise Carpet Event to get an update. KEiiNO represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Spirit in the Sky" coming 6th but won the public vote. Enjoy this interview on the show this week. 

The Adria Twins (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025)

Interview with Adria Twins (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025):  On Sat. 08 Feb 2025 Miriana Conte and her song "Kant" (now "Serving")  was selected by the jury and Maltese public to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contetest 2025 in Basel in May. Miriana successfully placed Malta in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest ranking 17th at the end of the voting sequence.

Interviews with Jendrik (Germany 2021) and Samanta Tina (Latvia):  Rotterdam in the Netherlands staged the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on 18, 20 and 22 May 2021 with Italy's Maneskin winning with the song "Zitti e buoni". In the run up to the contest as well as during the rehearsal weeks Radio International had four shows from Rotterdam broadcasting many interviews with the participating artists. Two are still left for broadcast and that is with Germany's Jendrik and Samanta Tina from Latvia which you can hear on the show this week. Jendrik represented Germany with the song "I don't feel hate" which he wrote himself. Eric and JP from Radio International met the singer in the Rotterdam Press Centre for an update interview. Sadly, the song only came 25th in the Grand Final.

Samanta Tina represented Latvia in Rotterdam with the song "The Moon is rising" which unfortunately ended up 17th in her Semi Final 2. Eric and JP met Samanta in the Press Centre before her performance in Semi Final 2 for an interview which you can hear on the show this week.

This week Radio International's Interview Team JP and John Dawton are being joined via SKYPE by Mariette from Sweden. Mariette has made it to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen four times. Melodifestivalen is Sweden's National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2015, Mariette reached third place in the Final with "Don't stop believing". In 2017, it was "A Million Years" that came 4th and in 2018 the popular Swedish singer reached Number 5 with "For you" and in 2020 a Number 10 for "Shout it out". Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience in 2021. Further she is known to the fans of the Eurovision Song Contest as she was the Spokesperson from Sweden to pass the votes at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. There is more and we find from Mariette herself during this week's interview session.

Interview with KEiiNO (Norway 2019 and Melodi Grand Prix 2021): At the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Norway's Trio KEiiNO won the public vote by far at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song "Spirit in the Sky". KEiiNO are Tom Hugo, Alexandra and Fred and since their entry at Eurovision they have been touring around the Eurovision World. The group have been busy bees since their success in Israel and released new material on a regular basis.  The latest news out of Norway is that KEiiNO will be competing in the Norwegian selection to the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in the Semi Final 1 in Melodi Grand Prix 2021 with the song "Monument". The Team of Radio International is extremely happy to have the please to chat with Alessandra, Tom Hugo and Fred live on Radio International on this week's edition of the show.

Eurovision Concert "Het Grote Songfestivalfeest" In Amsterdam, 15 Dec 2019

 

"Het Grote Songfestivalfeest" = Eurovision Concert takes place in Amsterdam Sunday 15 Dec 2019 with an amazing list of former Eurovision Winners and participants. A live band will be accompanying the Eurovision singers throughout the show which will take place in the Ziggo Dome of Amsterdam. It is a co-production of Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS and PilotStudio. Further the concert will be recorded and broadcast on Dutch TV channel NPO3 on 01 January 2020 to ring in the year that the Netherlands will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Eurovision in Concert 2019 in Amsterdam

COUNTDOWN TO EUROVISION 2019 - Dare to Dream: Now not long to go for the 64th Eurovision Song Contest which will be staged May 14, 16 and 18 with 41 countries competing for the trophy and the right to host Eurovision 2020. Radio International is gearing up for the biggest music event of the year and will broadcast interviews with artists and lots of music from this year's contest. The new series of the Eurovision Spotlight starts next week when the Radio International Eurovision Experts will be dividing Europe and Australia in regions and will be playing the songs of this year's Eurovision Song Contest in full and giving their opinion about the songs and their chances to victory.

Now that all 41 songs have been selected the annual pre-parties and pre-view events such as London, Riga, Madrid, Moscow are taking place. Amsterdam Calling was on Friday 05 April 2019 as the pre-party to the biggest events of all EUROVISION IN CONCERT which is took place in Amsterdam's AFAS on Saturday, 06 April 2019. Hear some of the interviews Radio International did with the Eurovision Stars that performed at these events. Also a special thanks go to the colleagues of ONE Radio and TV from Malta for the great collaboration.

KEiiNO (Norway 2019) with JP at the Riga PreParty 2019

Interview with KEiiNO (Norway 2019): Last weekend saw the 2019 edition of the Eurovision PreParty in Riga, Latvia with the participation of Carousel (Latvia 2019), Edgars Krailis (National Final in Latvia 2019), Monica Marija (National Final in Lithuania 2019) and KEiiNO who are representing Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with "Spirit in the Sky" in Semi Final 2 Song Number 15. David and JP of Radio International were on location attending the event and interviewed the artists. This week listen to the interview with Norway's hopefuls following in the footstep of Alexander Rybak from 2018 is KEiiNO, a three piece band concisting of Tom Hugo, Alexsandra and the Joiker Fred. 

Miki (Spain 2019) - Grand Final  - La Venda

Interview with Miki (Spain 2019): The London Preview Event 2019 took place last weekend with many of the countries' representatives from the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Radio International's David Mann in collaboration with Salman from Germany interviewed many of the artists. This Radio International air an interview with Miki who  represents Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 directly in the Grand Final with the song "La Venda". 

Tulia (Poland 2019) - Semi Final 1 - Fire of Love

Interview with Tulia (Poland 2019): Poland is represented by the group Tulia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song "Fire of Love"which will perform in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 4. This interview is courtesy of our collegues of One TV and  Radio who chatted with the ladies during the recent edition of Eurovision in Concert 2019.

Esther Hart (Netherlands 2003) at OGAE Germany Convention 2019)

Interview with Esther Hart (Netherlands 2003):  At the 2019 edition of the OGAE Germany Convention Ryan was one of the star guests invited to perform a little concert to the many fans that had arrived from various countries to Munich last January. Ryan represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with the song "Together" reaching Number 16 in the Grand Final. JP of Radio International chatted with the singer after his sound check about his career and the Eurovision Song Contest. Ryan was also part of Amsterdam Calling 2019 - the Pre-Party to Eurovision Concert 2019 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The airing of this interview is postponed to a later show.
