Eurovision 2013 Winner Emmelie de Forest 
at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025

Interview with Eurovision Winner Emmelie de Forest (Denmark 2025): The Eurovision Song Contest 2013 came from the Malmö Arena in Sweden and neighbouring Denmark winning the contest with a young Emmelie de Forest with the song "Only Teardrops". Emmelie has been keeping active as a musician and has written many songs for herself but also other artists including Eurovision performers. She also very often gets invited to perform at the fanclub events as well as national finals. She was at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and returned to Malta for a second time in the National in 2025. JP had the pleasure to conduct a catch-up interview with Emmelie de Forest you can hear on the show this week.  

Kyle Alessandro (Norway 2025) with JP

Interview with Kyle Alessandro (Norway 2025): Norway was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 by Kyle Alessandro with the song "Lighter" which came 18th in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. The Radio International Rowing Reporter Alain Forrotti had the pleasure to meet and interview Kyle Alessandro in Basel during the rehearsal week. 

KAJ (Sweden 2025)

Interview with KAJ (Sweden 2025): At the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Sweden was  represented by Finnish Trio KAJ who won Sweden's Melodifestivalen with highest number of votes ever received by a Melodifestivalen Winner in the past and with that  represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Bara Bada Bastu" coming 4th in the Grand Final, although the betting odds showed Sweden with a winning chance of 50%. Radio International's Salman met and interviewed KAJ at the London Eurovision PreParty 2025. Listen to this interview on the show this week. 

Tautumeitas (Latvia 2025)

Interview with Tautumeitas (Latvia 2025): Six great voices represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The group is called Tautumeitas and the song "Bur man laimi" successfully qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 where it reached Number 13. Radio International's Salman met the ladies at the London Eurovision PreParty 2025 for an interview which you can hear on the show this week.

Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012 and Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025)

Interview with Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012 and Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025): On Sat. 08 Feb 2025 Miriana Conte and her song "Kant" (now "Serving") was selected by the jury and Maltese public to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contetest 2025 in Basel in May. Miriana successfully placed Malta in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest ranking 17th at the end of the voting sequence.
Earlier on in February 2025, Radio International conducted interviews with all the contestants at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and more.
This week, Radio International will broadcast an interview with Eurovision Veteran Kurt Calleja in view of his participation in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Aziz/a" coming 8th. Kurt previously represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 where he placed 21st with the song "This is the night".

Interview with Emmelie de Forest (Eurovision Winner 2013, Denmark): Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is extremely delighted to welcome to the show Emmelie de Forest who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 for Denmark with the song "Only Teardrops" in Sweden's Malmoe Arena. Emmelie was part of the Eurovision Weekend 2021 in Stuttgart, Germany and JP, Marc and Salman conducted a very short interview before Emmelie had to rush to the airport. Radio International is very happy that Emmelie accepted the request to come onto the show for the Interview Hour this week and live. The 19th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be staged on 19 December 2021 with 19 countries taking part:  Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, The Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain and Ukraine.

Eurovision Weekend 2021 - Interview with Emmelie de Forest (Eurovision Winner 2013, Denmark), Justs (Latvia 2016) and Daniel Schuhmacher (Winner of the 6th German Pop Idols):  The Eurovision Weekend 2021 took place on 15 - 17 Oct 2021 in Stuttgart in Germany with the participation of Eurovision Winner Emmelie de Forest who won the contest for Denmark in 2013 with the song "Only Teardrops". JP, Marc and Salman interviewed Emmelie at the Sunday Brunch of the event.

Also being part of the guest list was Justs who represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Heartbeat" coming 15th in the Grand Final. The song was written by the previous year's Latvian representative Aminata. Marc and Salman chatted with Justs backstage on Saturday Night while JP was entertaining the many Eurovision Fans with the Eurovision Disco.

 

And last but not least our third guest on the show this week is Daniel Schuhmacher who won the 6th season of Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar (DSDS) which is German Pop Idols. Daniel is a huge Eurovision Fan and would love to represent Germany at Eurovision one day. He has great vocal capabilities and after winning the German Idols has definitely the qualification to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest. Marc and Salman talked to Daniel backstage after the main show was over. Listen to all three interviews on the show this week.

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Complete Coverage and Interviews with the contestants

The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is the national selection of Malta to find the song that will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark in May 2014.

20 contestants and voices compete in the Semi Final in the venue called Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC). 14 of the songs advance to the Grand Final which takes places on Saturday 08 February 2014. The Winner will get the ticket to Copenhagen to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest following in the footsteps of Gianluca Bezzina who with "Tomorrow" achieved a remarkable 8th place in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013.

The Team of Radio International is on location in Ta'Qali interviewing the contestants.

The Winning Moments and the Winner's Interview with FIRELIGHT who now will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in May in Copenhagen with the song "Coming Home".

Press Conference of the 14 Finalists and JP drawing the first and last song for the Grand Final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014.

JESC2013: Interview with Emmelie de Forest (Winner Denmark 2013) Guest

Lukasz and JP from Radio International are on location of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 conducting interviews with the young hopefuls that are representing their countries at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year from the Place of the Ukraine in the heart of Kiev, which is this year's venue.

During the rehearsals per country the young artists are giving interviews chatting about their music and life.

The running order was decided at the Welcome Reception where each performing young artists picked their starting position.

The Team of Radio International not only chatted with the young performers on stage but also with important people that are responsible to set up the event or also the host.
